About us
Tessitoura is a chamber opera company based in Bristol, UK. Our name derives from the Italian word "tessitura" meaning "texture" and describes the range in which a given type of voice presents it's best sounding texture or timbre. It reflects our mission to bring a range of stunning vocal music and opera to our audiences. We added the "o" to emphasize our aim to tour and perform at unusual venues, such as a rustic barn, spooky cemetery, historic church, outdoor garden or even private home.
